Who is this suitable for?

This qualification is aimed at employees who wish to enhance their understanding of mental health in the workplace. It is ideal for anyone interested in recognising mental health concerns in themselves and others and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and support mental well-being.

Which candidates can attend?

Candidates should be over 16 years of age and possess at least Level 1 Numeracy and Literacy or the equivalent. This course is suitable for employees and individuals with an interest in mental health awareness, with no prior experience required.

When and where does the course take place?

This 6 hour course is delivered over one day, typically from 9.00am to 4.30pm including breaks. Training can be arranged at your preferred location on a date and time that suits you.

Course syllabus

Be aware of common mental health disorders
Know how to recognise the causes and impact of stress
Know how to recognise the causes and impact of common mental health conditions
Understand how individuals may use harmful strategies to cope with a mental health disorder
Know how to support an individual with a mental health issue

How much does this first aid course at work cost?

Group bookings (up to 12 learners) £1,400
(discounted to £1,200 for 6 or fewer)*

*plus venue hire if not at your own premises

Individuals (open courses) £240 per person

How long is the course?

6 hours of guided learning – delivered face-to-face over one day.

Is this course accredited?

Yes, it is accredited by QNUK, with no expiry, but it is recommended for renewal every three years to stay updated with best practices.
