Who is this suitable for?
This qualification is aimed those who may be required to provide first aid in an outdoor environment where help may be up to 30 minutes away. Attendees are most commonly outdoor activity instructors. The qualification also meets the requirements for Emergency First aiders, as outlined in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
Which candidates can attend?
Qualified first aiders (see above).
When and where does the course take place?
This 8 hour course is delivered over one day. Training can take place at your workplace on a date and time to suit you. Alternatively, you can go ahead and book on one of our open courses which are perfectly suited to individuals looking to take part in this training.

Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider in an outdoors environment
Be able to manage an incident in an outdoors environment
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty that is unresponsive and not breathing normally
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty that is unresponsive and is breathing normally
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty affected by immersion in water
Be able to manage an incident in an outdoors environment
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty that is unresponsive and not breathing normally
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty that is unresponsive and is breathing normally
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock
