Who is this suitable for?

This qualification is suitable for employees, managers, and team leaders across all industries who wish to gain an advanced understanding of mental health. It is designed to help individuals identify and manage mental health concerns in themselves and others, with a focus on effective support strategies.

Which candidates can attend?

Candidates should be over 16 years of age and possess at least Level 1 Numeracy and Literacy or the equivalent. This course is ideal for anyone interested in mental health awareness at an advanced level, with no prior experience required.

When and where does the course take place?

This 12-hour guided learning course is delivered face-to-face over two days. Training can be arranged at your preferred location on a date and time that suits you. 

Course syllabus

  • Be aware of common mental health disorders

  • Learn how to recognise the causes and impact of stress

  • Learn how to recognise the causes and impact of common mental health conditions

  • Learn how to recognise and support individuals with a personality disorder

  • Know how to recognise and support individuals with psychosis

  • Understand how individuals may use harmful strategies to cope with a mental health disorder

  • Learn how to recognise and support an individual in a suicidal crisis

  • Be able to support an individual with a mental health issue

  • Know the legal requirements for managing mental health in a workplace

Individuals (open courses) £240 per person

How long is the course?

This is a two day course so 12 hours of guided learning delivered over two days

Is this course accredited?

Yes, it is accredited by QNUK, with no expiry, but it is recommended for renewal every three years to stay updated with best practices.
